Cryptoid

Cryptoid is a book about monsters — giant monsters, tiny monsters, robot monsters, cosmic monsters. Some, like the heroic Resister, work for the benefit of humankind. Others are fearsome agents of chaos. And yet others are just trying to do their grocery shopping in peace. These bizarre creatures are featured in a series of interconnected stories, which all depict a world gone horribly wrong (sound familiar?).

These surrealist, self-reflexive, and superbly rendered comics surprise at every turn and showcase an inherent joy for the comics medium.
